My friend Ellen generously let us use her fish stage to take some lovely photos of some of my quilts. I believe it is important to document your projects for future inspiration.  Where do you find inspiration?

I finished this lovely little wall hanging (name to be determined) today.  It reminds me of the sea where we walk the dog.  The process is very interesting, I will definitely be making more of these. I believe, in future versions I will not quilt the sky but will quilt the plain water pieces, as I did above, to give the water a little extra movement.  This was a lovely diversion, now back to my garden quilt.  When you are working on a big project how do you take a break from it when you grow weary of it?

Welcome to the QBee Quilt Studio.  What is happening in the studio today….. Now that the spring has arrived, I am thinking of the beach and all of the great outdoor activities we all enjoy. How do you bring summer fun inside and fight off the winter blues?  This piece, that is in progress, was a fantastic workshop I attended on the weekend. It was taught by Andrea Tsang Jackson of the 3rd Story Workshop. She is an outstanding fibre artist and excellent teacher.
